Hi! I’m Ashiqur Rahman. I’m a 3D animator, writer, and filmmaker currently pursuing an animation degree at DePaul University in the heart of Chicago, Illinois. I’m a long-time 3D model artist with animation skills. Writing has been my hobby for a long time, and it is now becoming intertwined with my passion for animation and film. I hope to launch my own animation studio to adapt my own novels.

A Glimpse of what’s to come
My childhood best friend and I grew up playing video games, but unlike me, he had this ambition to make one, and slowly buy surely his passion bled into me. I was then introduced to 3D modelling by him, and when I was finally able to level up my 3D modelling game, I was offered to work for two Roblox games, “Aimblox” and “Dragon souls, where I made tons of 3D models.
Unlike other aritists, I picked up 2D animation or traditional art itself quite late, hence I struggled with 2D animation in general, but thankfully I was able to rapidly improve my art, from barely being able to draw basic shapes to creating art and learning 2D animation mechanics
I’ve always loved film, comics, and games. Well-written stories have always had an everlasting impact on me.
Somewhere along the way, I became the person people hesitate to watch things with. My friends and family call me a nitpicker. Hard to satisfy. And maybe they’re right. I criticize the hell out of their favorite shows. I notice flaws in logic, weak character arcs, lazy writing, things most people ignore. It’s not that I want to ruin it. I just can’t unsee it.
Modern anime, games and films, most of them don’t hit the same (Don’t even get me started with anime). I go in hoping to feel something real, something earned, but usually walk away disappointed. It feels like something’s missing and I know how that sounds.
Hopefully, my writing turns out the way I want it to and becomes something that inspires generations of writers to come.
